The University of Florida
is inviting applications for a full time tenure-track Assistant
Professor specializing in the area of race and ethnicity, to begin
August 2009. This position is in the Sociology division of the
Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law. The successful
candidate will have a Ph.D. in Sociology at the time of appointment and
a commitment to research and teaching in race and ethnic relations,
broadly construed. Candidates with expertise in classical and/or
contemporary sociological theory are especially encouraged to apply.
